So, I’ve been on the hunt for a new credit card (no, seriously - I’m sick of dealing with my current provider’s antics, but that’s a different post.) and gave CardHub.com a try.
I know I’m tooting my own horn and verging on being obnoxious, but I seriously loved being able to tic “excellent” for my credit score on their site while searching for a card. Ha! I’ve got excellent credit! …for now.
Anyway, being able to search for the “ideal card” based on criteria I set was pretty neat. It kills the need for having to run around the web and reading the fine print on every credit card offer in existence.
So, I put in my fairly picky criterium - AKA, I want everything free and no Capital One (those people are evil) - and lo and behold, five match credit cards come up.
I seriously loved being able to ex out Capital One. That has to be the best part.
The only things I disliked about the site, and this may be trivial, were the “user testomonials” on the side of the page which screamed amatuer and made me question whether I should use this site for something as important as credit cards.
Other than that, it was a pretty useful site if you need to (and I do) Apply for a Credit Card.

I’m almost finished unpacking and it only took ten days, or so. I’m exhausted and dreading going back to school. They’re making me go to a 5-day orientation.
Um…I’m not ten or a freshman. I’ll probably be older than the students running the orientation. I was older than the students running the “visit day.” And I have a weird personality defect where I don’t like taking orders from people I don’t feel deserve their position…or people younger than me. My ego will be taking a plummet this weekend.
In other news, I’ve given up on the internship and instead will be using my newly aquired free time to study like the geek I’m working on becoming and fueling my resume. Hopefully, both will lend to my career in the long run.

The economy is less than great, as I’m sure everyone already knows just from glancing at the gas pump, and having an armful of debt doesn’t make it any easier. Luckily, there are opportunities available like being able to consolidate debt.
For those out of the know, debt consolidation is an act that takes all of your owed debts and makes then payable in one lower payment, versus scrambling around and paying several companies. In some cases, debt consolidation can also reduce the amount owed.
This can be particularly useful if you’re having a tremendous amount of trouble paying off debts or are trying to save money.
The catch-22 part about having extensive debt paired with the declining economy, it can be even more difficult than usual to get out of debt. Everything costs more, which means you either can’t pay for it or need loans which then results in a bigger debt and the cycle continues.
So, if you (ahem, or me) or someone you know is in debt (*cough* $200,000 worth, thanks college!) then consider using debt consolidation - or in my case, a mixture of both consolidation and begging my parents to pay my debts off.
Please excuse me while I get to work on consolidating my many, many, many debts.
And beg my parents.

I don’t think I got the internship. I don’t actually find out until Friday, or more realistically, next Monday - but I’m not holding my breath. My resume is pretty empy. Actually, it’s exceptionally empty. The only work experience I have is hanging out behind a counter…or handing out coupons at Hannaford.
Yeah, great candidate.
In other news, I’ve almost finished the new layout for the new blog and I’m eager to get started on it. I’ll forward the link to those who are interested, later.

I checked my stats today and it seems as if an endless stream of people are coming to my site after Googling (”Googling” sounds like something…bad, and painful) MasterJob2008. Those lovely spam assholes.
I’ve received a total of 348 visitors since posting that entry last week.
Thanks, dudes.
Anyway, as everyone should know by now, I’m ditching this blog and have started another - if I ever muster the time to finish designing it, I might be coerced into revealing the link. However, I went to Yahoo today which is where I registered the domain two years ago - they were having a killer sale, a domain name for $0.99 for a year.
Too good to be true? Damn straight.
I went back there to check when this domain is expiring and those Yahoo bandits are charging $35.00 to renew to domain name.
Are they out of their effing mind?! I’m surprised they’re making any money. What idiot pays $35, over three times as much for the going rate, to buy a domain name?
I’ve got domain names for as cheap as $6.00, the sad part is somebody is actually paying that much. I won’t even get into the ridiculous price they’re charging hosting for.
